Course Guide for the Grand National

christian louboutinCome around 4pm on Saturday afternoon the brave Grand National Horses and jockeys will embark on the four and half mile circuit who for the successful combination will go down in Horse Racing folklore. The winning horse and jockey combination will have to clear a total of 30 Grand National Fences, where 16 individual fences will be cleared two times while fences such as The Chair and The Water Jump will be  jumped only once.

The horses have to go around the course twice; one of the most famous fences of course is Becher's Brook. This fence is like a wall with a steep drop and is responsible for many casualties, however in recent times it has been made a little easier as the horses safety is of paramount importance.

For those horses still in contention when jumping the last there is the really long run in to the line and on many occasions the Grand National Betting will change dramatically as it is such a long run in and there is plenty of time for horses coming from behind to challenge the leader and win the race.
