2010 Grand National Weights

The weights for the 2010 Grand National have been released as the build up to the big race gathers momentum, there are three Group 1 races at the top of the weights. Madison Du Berlais, Notre Pere and Albertas Run will all carry 11st 10lbs if they take their places on April 10th. 2009 winner Mon Mome is 7lbs heavier than the 2009 race at 11st 7lbs which might work against him while the two market leaders in Tricky Trickster and Niche Market are both carrying 11st 4lbs .

There are a few contenders who will have less than 11st on their back which is always worth taking note of and they include Big Fella Thanks who ran well last year and he will saddle 10st 12lbs which is three lbs lower than 2009. Also carrying less than 11st is the impressive Le Beau Bai who ran well in the Welsh National and should take his chance at Aintree for Richard Lee.
