Aintree Grand National Runners
We now know the full list of 40 runners for the big race on Saturday as the nation tries to pick a winner. Heading the weights is Madison Du Berlais but there are a number of top class horses going for glory in the raxe.
At the moment we are looking towards the likes of Tricky Trickster, Big Fella Thanks and Mon Mome to be the leading runners and they will all be taking their places. The Grand National Odds are telling us that they are well fancied for the 2010 race in what looks set to be a high class renewal.

2010 Grand National Weights
The weights for the 2010 Grand National have been released as the build up to the big race gathers momentum, there are three Group 1 races at the top of the weights. Madison Du Berlais, Notre Pere and Albertas Run will all carry 11st 10lbs if they take their places on April 10th. 2009 winner Mon Mome is 7lbs heavier than the 2009 race at 11st 7lbs which might work against him while the two market leaders in Tricky Trickster and Niche Market are both carrying 11st 4lbs. Albertas Run and Notre Pere have since been scratched from the race but the weights have been unaffected with Madison Du Berlais holding his ground at this stage.
There are a few contenders who will have less than 11st on their back which is always worth taking note of and they include Big Fella Thanks who ran well last year and he will saddle 10st 12lbs which is three lbs lower than 2009. The Package is another who is carrying a nice weight and looks to have a good chance of running into a place.

At this stage there are around 40 horses left with an entry for the 2010 Grand National and we have detailed the top 40 who have a chance of taking their places at Aintree. This should be the final list of runners for the big race on Saturday as the excitiment builds towards 16.15pm on Saturday afternoon.
